HONG KONG: Clair Brothers’ new kiTCURVE range of loudspeakers has enjoyed its first public appearance in Asia, being deployed recently for a special performance at Orange Peel Music Lounge – a well-known live music venue in the heart of Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong district. Supported by DMT Pro, the event featured performances by local musicians Jun Kung, Fabio Ari Calangi and Ray Covington together with special guest, Matzka, a native Taiwanese reggae star making his first appearance in Hong Kong.

The system supporting the evening comprised two kiTCURVE12+ self-powered elements, pole-mounted on two kiT-Sub+ subwoofers. ‘I’ve never heard sound like this before!’ enthused Kelvin Avon, producer and mix engineer at Mofo Music who attended the performance. ‘It’s as loud as a stadium gig in here, yet so clear and comfortable to listen to, even just 2m from the speakers.’

‘I could listen to this all day,’ added Nexus Technologies’ senior audio consultant, Nick Stevens. ‘It’s incredible that such a small system can produce such a big sound.’
